  Accounting Manager La Mirada, CA - Onsite  Direct Hire Salary $100-120k   Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious Non-profit educational organization in their search for an Accounting Manager. This is a direct-hire opportunity based out of La Mirada, CA (Onsite).   Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Accounting Manager is responsible for the general accounting function of the Finance Department. The Accounting Manager will have hands-on accounting duties, directs and controls the general ledger, month-end close, payroll, travel expense accounting, grant accounting, contract compliance monitoring, audit coordination and preparation, works closely with the Associate Director of Business Analysis, and supports management’s need for special reporting and analysis.   Qualifications: - BS degree in Accounting or Finance. - At least two to three years of supervisory experience. - 5 years or more of accounting experience. - Experienceworking for or with Telecom Companies is ideal - Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures. - Experience with general ledger and financial close process. - High attention to detail and accuracy. This is a direct hire opportunity based out of Torrance, CA (Remote).   Client to hire a Global Sourcing & Quality Manager to build and improve our factory-direct, custom-produced business line. This position is a part of the Supply Chain Department and will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain.   We are looking for an exceptional individual with experience in technical apparel design and all aspects of custom products to source and qualify new factory partners and enhance partnerships with our existing factories in the designated territory.   This role will be responsible for growing the number of approved vendor partners we can source from, developing and enhancing overall relationships for the client, assisting with 3rd party factory audits to ensure quality and compliance, and contributing to the Supply Chain’s overall priorities to ensure supply at the best cost.   This is a remote position. Our best fit candidate will have the ability to work from home or in our Torrance, CA headquarters at least 1-2 days a week, as needed. This role will entail extensive international travel.   Qualifications: - 4-year college degree. - 8-10 years of experience in apparel raw material, apparel production, and global logistics. - Have an existing relationship with manufacturers that can service the clients uniform soft line categories. - Ability to perform inā€person factory evaluations, audits, and negotiate vendor agreements. - Must be versatile with MS Excel to assist with data analysis to select an appropriate vendor pool. - Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and written and verbal communication skills. - Strong sense of ownership and accountability. - Excellent organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy. - The ability to travel 40% for the first 3 months and 25% thereafter. Responsibilities: Sourcing: - Grow clients network of approved factory partners globally. - Source, qualify, onboard, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure the best price, delivery, quality, and optimal inventory levels to achieve desired profitability. - Coordinate with the production manager to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and terms with suppliers. - Provide consistent research of new materials and supplier opportunities to support manufacturing. - Monitor market indexes affecting product costs that will impact market trends and respond accordingly. - Consistently conduct factory evaluations on our top suppliers with recommendations for strategic improvement. - Develop deep, mutually beneficial partnerships with key factories and alternative strategies to pivot production to build resilience in our supply chain. - Develop strategies to inform and enhance the clients efforts around sustainable product production, innovative materials, and compliant-certified inputs. - Develop an audit schedule and ensure timely execution and completion of audits of third-party manufacturers and suppliers according to the supplier qualification procedure. - Extensive travel to factories and raw material suppliers. Quality: - Develop internal and external quality assurance programs. - Maintain and evolve the supplier qualification program including all required documentation. - Define key quality metrics to monitor performances for key suppliers. - Drive effective root cause analysis and corrective action with suppliers to avoid quality incidents. - Assist in ensuring the quality of product passes our quality and legal compliance testing. - Set standards for a vendor, product, and delivery performance.
