Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company in their search for a Senior Security Engineer. This is a full time opportunity based out of Irvine, CA or San Antonio, TX (Hybrid).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of IT experience is required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in an Cyber Security role.
• Strong background working with security technologies: firewalls, intrusion detection, anti-virus, vulnerability scanning and remediation, security log and event management, network traffic analysis, etc.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Shell Scripting is a must 
• Experience in AWS is essential.
• Experience in data mining and analyzing logs using Python is required.
• Technical knowledge of common information security tools and systems: Firewall/VPN, endpoint protection etc.
• Hands-on experience configuring multiple operating systems, databases, security platforms, and system integrations.
• Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, MCSE, RHCE, CCNP, CCSP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as information security subject matter expert and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into development and operational processes.
• Perform security risk assessments and lead remediation efforts.
• Create solutions for security issues.
• Analyze audit findings and make recommendations to lower risk to acceptable levels.
• Ensure that security changes comply with company change management policies and procedures.
• Automate security processes and tasks to achieve efficiency.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect systems, networks, and data.

Annual Base Salary Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $170,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training and/or experience.
